Storing and Saving Messages
Asynchronous, recorded messages are saved in YackPack. You can go back and listen to them again and again. There is no time limit on their storage. They are stored indefinitely unless the sender or pack creator deletes the message.
To retrieve your messages, log in to YackPack first. The messages sent to you will be archived by sender. That means to find the messages a particular person sent you, you will click on their name. Clicking on their name will display the list of messages between you and that person. The newest messages are always at the top.
Live Voice conversations are not recorded or stored. Please see our support article “Recording Live Voice and Voice Messages as MP3s” for more information on how you can record real time conversations.
Understand the Message Archive:
The message archive holds a lot of information in a small place. It uses symbols and color coding to denote information. Here is how to interpret the message archive:

- Messages that are playing back are yellow.
- Messages that are new and unheard are green.
- Messages that you sent to that person are light blue and have an outgoing arrow next to them.

- Message that this person sent you, which you’ve already heard are dark blue.
